This spring, The Wily Network welcomed Scholars together for another joyful Community Day, an opportunity to reconnect, celebrate milestones, and enjoy a day centered on community, laughter, and support.
The day began with a warm welcome from Wily staff, who introduced themselves and shared fun facts, along with birthday recognitions and important announcements. Scholars were also invited to participate in a lighthearted “clothespin game” throughout the day, with prizes awarded for everything from arriving on time to staying engaged and unplugged.
Our morning featured large-group icebreakers designed to spark conversation and help Scholars connect across campuses and class years. Through games like Four Corners and other interactive activities, Scholars had the chance to meet new peers, share stories, and start the day with energy and fun.
Later in the morning, Wily took time to recognize our graduating seniors during what was their final Community Day as Scholars. As they prepare to take their next steps after college, we celebrate their journeys. We are so proud of all they have achieved and excited for what lies ahead.
The afternoon offered Scholars a variety of small-group activities to choose from, creating space for both relaxation and connection. Options included coloring, collage-making, mahjong, Jenga, board games, and more. Whether Scholars were trying something new or simply enjoying time with friends, the day reflected the importance of belonging within the Wily community.
As the day came to a close, prizes were distributed, farewells were shared, and Scholars were invited to browse free donated items made available through generous in-kind support. We are especially grateful to Hope & Comfort for their donation, which helped provide meaningful resources to Scholars.
Throughout the event, Scholars also received thoughtful gifts, had the opportunity for professional headshots, and were reminded of the many ways they can continue sharing feedback and shaping the Wily experience.
Community Day is always a reminder that Wily is more than a program, it is a community rooted in care, encouragement, and connection.
