“They just do so much in terms of bridging the gaps between not having a support system and continuing to be in college and to succeed.”
— Nicki (she/her), Wily Scholar, Northeastern University ’24
Above is a quote from WCVB 5 for Good’s segment about The Wily Network. The piece—which aired during last night’s local news—provided space for an alum and current Scholar to share their stories and highlight Wily’s services for students on college campuses across Greater Boston.
We are proud of our work and in awe of the remarkable accomplishments of Wily Scholars. Each year, we partner with additional Scholars as we grow to serve more students navigating college on their own, without a safety net. This news story is a great way to spread the word about Wily’s work, who we serve, and why it is so crucial that we invest in students who are often unseen and unheard in their college communities.
As we look to welcome the next cohort of Wily Scholars we would appreciate you sharing this segment as we hope to grow the Wily Pack with more volunteers and donors.
