Carrying the Wily Banner: Ed Hajim

Ed Hajim The Wily Network

Ed Hajim is one of the newest and most enthusiastic supporters of the Wily Network Fund-A-Scholar program.

Ed is Chairman of HighVista Strategies, a Boston-based investment firm, and the author of an autobiography, On the Road Less Traveled: An Unlikely Journey from the Orphanage to the Boardroom.

We asked Ed to share his thoughts about his support of Wily and what our mission means to him.

How do the mission and programs of the Wily Network connect to your values?

Wily’s mission of helping students experiencing financial or other challenges to navigate the difficulties of college life is a vital service. Wily’s counseling and care have changed students’ lives, and the organization’s efforts will produce individuals who are motivated to give back and to make the world a better place.

What do you hope to accomplish by supporting Wily?

I hope that my support will help Wily carry out its mission of supporting Wily Scholars in a successful college experience, which is a pivotal point in their lives. Wily is an indispensable resource in helping this very important but neglected part of the student population.

How are you encouraging others to join the Wily community?

I encourage friends to support Wily by carrying the Wily banner wherever I go. I tell them, if you want to make a difference, join the Wily campaign. Wily’s action changes lives.
